Welcome to the website of the Southern California Fraud Investigators Association. This organization is dedicated to serving fraud investigators and prosecutors from a wide variety of fields. Our membership consists of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, prosecuting attorneys and private investigators, as well as insurance company investigators.

SCFIA provides practical training in many areas of fraud including auto insurance fraud, workers compensation fraud, real estate fraud, identity theft, medical treatment fraud, financial fraud and fraud pertaining to elder abuse cases. SCIFA meets your needs by hosting a Lunch & Learn meeting every other month. We will also be hosting a One-Day Training Conference on May 16, 2008. Our Three-Day Conference will be held in San Diego, CA at the Town & County Hotel August 13 to the 15, 2008 with a Golf Tournament held on the 12th of August prior to the conference.

It is with great sense honor that while starting my Thirteenth year that you have chosen me to be your president again for 2008. It is my hope that you find our organization a valuable tool in your effort to be come knowledgeable in you’re field of endeavor.

We are constantly looking for good speakers for our training sessions so if anyone is interested in speaking or has a referral for a speaker, please contact either myself or any our Officer or Board of Directors.

Remember to join SCFIA as we host a Lunch & Learn training session the first Thursday of every other month. Please check the website under “Meetings” for details. By attending the Lunch and Learn sessions, you will have and opportunity to hear knowledgeable speakers as well as meet and net work with other professionals involved in fraud investigations.
